Who are you as an organization and what do you do?

Golfslag is an initiative based in Rotterdam, aimed at reviving the nightlife scene. It originated as an initiative set up by friends for friends, with a strong focus on creating a total experience. We draw inspiration from surf culture, the skateboard scene, fashion, and high-quality house music. Our goal is to create an inclusive and energetic atmosphere, always prioritizing quality.

If the organization were a story, which chapter would be currently written?

At the moment, we are writing the chapter of emergence and growth. We are actively building our dream, and the end of the story is far from sight. Job’s not finished!

If the organization had a theme song, what would it be?

“Italia no rave” by KOKO.IT would be our theme song. This track encapsulates the energy, passion, and diversity that characterize Golfslag.

What is the core mission of the organization?

Our core mission is to bring joy to people and offer them new experiences, striving for positive energy and inclusivity.

Quality, energy, inclusivity, and passion are the values ​​that form the basis of our work and set us apart.

How would you describe the organization’s vision in a few sentences?

Ultimately, we aim for Golfslag to become an established name, providing a total experience comparable to concepts like Lyrical Lemonade. We want to be an addition to cities like Rotterdam and Groningen.

What are the current main objectives of the organization?

We aim to add genuinely fun events to cities like Rotterdam and Groningen, striving for a unique experience for our visitors.

How do you measure the success of your initiatives?

We measure the success of our initiatives based on the energy and positive atmosphere we create during our events. When the night is over, and you can’t quite describe what happened, except that there was an overwhelming wave of energy and positive vibes, we consider that a sign of success.

What results are you most proud of so far?

We are particularly proud of a recent smaller event, a community gathering, which took a completely new direction. This event was different from our usual activities; it not only included entertainment but also a dinner and a film screening. Although not the largest event, it was exceptionally well-received. It was special because it allowed us to truly connect with our audience and discover who our visitors are. We strongly believe in giving back to the community, and this event provided a wonderful opportunity to do so.

Are there any new initiatives, programs, or goals you are currently working on or considering?

Currently, we are setting up a skate contest and working on our own music project as a passion project to celebrate our brand.

What was your motivation for participating in Network Festival?

We have a great collaboration with MONO and share the vision of adding value to the city of Rotterdam. Network Festival provides a platform to realize this vision.

How do you envision Network Festival?

We expect a dynamic and passionate atmosphere, bringing together different brands and initiatives. It’s an opportunity to walk through different worlds and make new connections.

What can we expect from you at Network Festival?

It will be a cultural experience where we express the Golfslag brand with visuals, film, music, and clothing.
