Who are you as an organization and what do you do?
At our core, we are a group of friends who love music and nightlife. In 2020, we started Bound45 to celebrate the diversity of music through a digital and IRL platform. Our events are always the core, and our digital channels serve as an extension. And, what we are mainly known for: organizing musical events in Rotterdam. We primarily focus on club nights at venues like MONO, BIT, Weelde, and OASE. However, we are also open to other formats like listening sessions or hosting festival stages, such as at Network.
If the organization were a story, what chapter would be written at this moment?
Currently, we are in the chapter where we are maturing. We have left behind the wild, reckless days and are starting to gain a clear sense of focus. We no longer say yes to everything and are more selective with the things we do, allowing us to focus more on the quality of the events we put on without losing our identity.
If your organization had a theme song, what would it be?
Tim Maia – “Acendo o Farol”
What is the core mission of the organization?
To celebrate music, with our community and beyond. Bringing people together and creating a temporary space where friendships start, lovers meet and strangers greet.
What values form the basis of your work?
Respect, togetherness, and openness.
How would you describe the organization’s vision in a few sentences?
Our vision is to create a community where diverse musical experiences bring people together, fostering connections and broadening perspectives through music.
What are the current main objectives of the organization?
To create awesome events where both the audience, artists, and everyone involved can look back with a good feeling and be excited for the next one.
How do you measure the success of your initiatives?
If the music was good and the feedback from everyone involved is positive, then it was a success!
What results are you most proud of so far?
We have accomplished many sick things that we are all proud of, from festival stages to sold-out club nights. But we are most proud that through these events, we have introduced people to new music and hopefully inspired them to broaden their musical horizons.
Are there new initiatives, programs, or goals you are currently working on or considering?
Our recent event at OASE has been our biggest production yet, and we are incredibly excited about it. Additionally, we are looking for a permanent place where we can host events regularly and focus on creating something lasting. So, if anyone reading this has that place, hit us up!
What was your motivation for participating in Network Festival?
The people behind FOMO are good friends of ours. We’ve often discussed doing something together over the past 3 years, so this opportunity came as a gift from heaven. Additionally, we fully support breaking down the silos that often form in Rotterdam. And when Mitchell asks for something, we are happy to think along.
How do you envision Network Festival?
One word: madness
What can we expect from you at Network Festival?
The best music from all corners of the world presented on a perfectly designed stage!
Final message for the people?
Be kind to each other, show interest in others and their backgrounds, and learn from them!
