Who are you as an organization and what do you do?
MONO is a community-centered space where various cultural activities take place alongside music. It’s a place where people can drop by during the day for a cup of coffee.
If your organization were a story, which chapter would currently be written?
We find ourselves in the chapter of “The Reimagination – The Home of the upcoming.”
If your organization had a theme song, what would it be?
“SICKO MODE” from Travis Scott because of its changing elements and dynamic atmosphere.
What is the core mission of the organization?
Our core mission is to connect communities and bridge the gap between talent and professionals, while providing space for smaller-scale practice.
What values form the basis of your work?
Expression, inclusivity, multidimensional creativity, thoughtfulness, and being, and for the city.
How would you describe the organization’s vision in a few sentences?
We see MONO as the home of emerging talent, where we aim to engage people whom we see potential in.
What are the current main objectives of the organization?
MONO opening the day business and laying a foundation for cultural connection between various organizations in Rotterdam.
How do you measure the success of your initiatives?
We measure success based on participation and the growth of our community.
What results are you most proud of so far?
We’re proud of our collaboration with Red Bull and hosting their stage. Network Festival will also be a milestone, as well as providing open booths for young emerging DJs.
Are there new initiatives, programs, or goals you are currently working on or considering?
We are focusing on programming more live acts and cultural events to give MONO more depth than just the club side.
What was your motivation for participating in Network Festival?
Our motivation is to network with established and young Rotterdam organizations and to see young talent. It provides a great opportunity to give MONO more depth.
How do you envision Network Festival?
We see the festival as an enthusiastic occasion where good ideas can be turned into reality, undoubtedly adding new energy to Rotterdam.
What can we expect from you at Network Festival?
We will play a supportive role and give other parties plenty of opportunities to do their own thing. We will also assist with organization and lend a helping hand where needed.
